I have to stick on some of the plastic pieces that go along the length of the door to protect it from othes denting them when opening their doors.
Have considered using double sided foam sticky tape but think that will make it stand to proud, have been advised to use a sealant/adhesive?? (not 'no more nails').
Any advice???

I'd call a dealer and ask them how they are to be installed. Adhesives often ooze out an make a mess. There may be a thin double sided adhesive tape available, never looked so just guessing.

On my old Escort Cab I used some double sided tape to stick the bumper inserts on.
I went to a local boat builders and got the tape they use to stick the glass into the frames.
Worked a treat.
And I was'nt charged for it either.

I sell this sort of thing everyday mate.....how much do you need excuse the pun length wise...and I''ll see what I can get you.....bear in mind though..when you apply these it will be on for good....
for anyone else interest you need an adhesive transfer tape....3M do a good range of VHB very high bond versions....and these are mostly less than 1mm thick..so wont stand proud....
hope this helps...
cheers
