Modding 1995 Type RA
I have just bought an STI Type RA and have no idea where too start modding ! It has a couple of mods - Stainless De cat system, and HKS induction kit. It has also been re-mapped for UK Fuel. I have no idea where to go next. I have been advised that an oil cooler is the way forward due to the gear ratios ? But I really have no idea. Any advice would be much appriciated. I have got just over a grand to get the ball rolling.

IMHO:
The engine is fine, the gearbox is fine, the suspension is where to start.
This will make the car far faster from A to B (if this is what you want!)
Assuming it is and you have £1000:
Fit Whiteline rear Anti-roll-bar @ 22mm diameter and solid rear drop links.
Fit ALK from Whiteline too (anti lift kit)
Rear camber bolts
20mm lowered Eibach springs to your dampers (assuming dampers in good condition)
Fit Pagid Blue pads to front brakes
Have everything aligned by a competant outfit ie PowerStation
That will see most but not all of the £1000 off, and leve you some over for an enjoyable tank of fuel to go for a play, and some to pay the small increas in insurance for the mods.
you will be surprised what that lot will do.
If you want to blow the Hot Hatch boys awayand let them catch you in the bends)......you need more than £1000
