Hi.

I have a MY04 wrx. It had a service at 20500 miles and has now done 21300 miles, my question is this...

It 'had' an oil change at 20500 miles and on checking the car this evening (long run tomorrow) The oil is at minimum.. oil light not on.

The oil is thick and mucky too


Is this right?

Has the oil actually been changed?

Doesnt sound like it, top it up for now and go question the garage who did your service as soon as possible.
Was it a scoob dealership that did your service? If not they could have put wrong type of oil in and its clogging with what was already in it making it seem as youve described.

 

even if you put chip fat in its not going to be as you describe after only 800miles....................
