hi ive just got a esl chip had it fitted to my wrx 94 waggon auto . and all it has done is set the boost at 9 psi it was at 11psi and keep bringing up error codes ....12 ... 43 .. 42..... help.any 1 no why
??

is it the right one for your car a saloon chip will have higher boost mapped in.
a chip for a wagon should run less due to the smaller turbo.
i would contact esl

Hello, you replied to me on the scooby help site and told me to contact you direct. i brought the chip from Paul at P.T.S. on 13th June 2006 for my 94 wrx auto impreza. The chip was advertised on ebay but i phone up and brought it direct from yourselves.
Since i have had the chip fitted all i have had is problems with the car, the enging warning light keeps coming on and i have took it to a garage and cell codes 12,42,43 and 45 keeps reocurring.
Please let me know what to do now

What "Scooby help site"?
If you bought the chip from PTS you bought it from a distributor, you didn't buy it direct from ESL and I will have had no record of the transaction, this is the first I've heard of it.
As I've said above, speak to Paul at PTS in the first instance.
It sounds like the IC socket has been incorrectly installed on the ECU motherboard, so rejoin the J1 link to run on the ECU ROM, speak to PTS for resolution and if you don't get satisfaction there contact me direct on the email above.

thanxs i will try them again and see what they say

 

right ive just tryed removeing the chip did a ecu reset came up with cel 42..
so i put the chip back on did a ecu reset now comes up with 42....45....31.. why??? help car run **** only 8 psi was 11 should be 14 with chip. think i will have to book it in at scoobyclinic.. are they any good ?
