Is this possible?

My MY95 WRX Jap Import is completely standard, apart from it's Kakimoto exhaust.

It's done 48k miles, had a new Exeddy Clutch and brake pads from the dealer who sold it me. (he imported it)

What i'm asking is, for starters what can I do to stop the engine going bang?
I'm running it on nothing but Optimax, but do I need an additive aswell?

Also, what can I do to get 300 bhp out of my new toy?

sports cat downpipe or decat, bigger injectors, uprated fuel pump, possibly regulator as well and a power fc fitted and mapped should see over 300bhp.
Best starting with the brakes and suspension though as you will gain more from that.
