Default Squeaky turbo

Right, further to my earlier thread about a strange squeak on my 95 JDM WRX Wagon I think I've traced it to the turbo. It's a kind of rattling squeak like a slipping belt noise when you come off the throttle or are just coasting along.

Anyone got any ideas? I'd be much obliged, etc...

Just a thought,i used to get wastegate chatter,as the actuator wasn't closing it properly, noticed it most when letting off, like yours. Cured this by slightly bending the wastegate actuator bracket away from the turbo.

Cheers, doing some fettling on Saturday so I'll have a look at that. This is definitely a squeak from something turning rather than rattling though although I do get that too. I'll look at the wastegate and heatshield as far as that goes but I can't help but worry that a rotational squeak is a little more worrying. Turbo bearings or something like that?
