hi all i've converted my auto to manual but have a few probs the biggest is my check engine light i've been told that supposedly there is a wire i've to cut that tells my car it's a manual now does anyone know of this and can advise me please thanks in advance

the ecu´s are difrent... may be u must change the ecu ( and wires too)

been told that there's two ecu's one for engine and one for old gearbox the engine one's the same as sons manual so don't see that being the problem

what year?

there is a Netural Position switch whcih needs connecting, along with the speedo input.

On most years I believe the Netural Position switch and the Park position switch are wired to the same pin on the engine ecu.. so the wiring should be there just going currently to the Auto trans ecu perhaps.

I have copies all all the classic ecu wiring diagrams or they are available on the net anyway.
