Default accelerate, full boost, woa! sudden loss of power!

I have a 98 wagon turbo. Now, it has done 149k!! but runs fine(sweet!) recently, on acceleration, full boost, its like hitting a brick wall, ease off and all is ok again. scary when overtaking. I think it might be clogged waist gate soleniod from overfilling with oil. could anyone conferm this? also where is the soleniod? is it the round object above and to the front of the turbo with small linkage coming out the back? many thanks.

yep sounds like fuel cut. as for location, where you describe sounds like the wastgate (do no touch). the solenoid should be mounted on the drivers side wing. probably got 2 or 3 pipes going to it and a couple of wires

hope this helps

No, thats the wastegate actuator.

The BCS is on the drivers side suspension strut

sounds like your hitting fuel cut, the boost solenoid in on the drivers wing with pipes coming from it. the part you are looking at is the wastegate. at 145k i suspect the solenoid is a bit clogged, is possible to clean but i have never done it.
