Misfire since remap? But decent spark plugs
I've now got a beast of a motor with 440 bhp, but she keeps reading a misfire - although the car doesn't hesitate or dip in power during the engine fault light flashing. She's running top quality platinum tip spark plugs that should last ages and they've only done about 3000 miles if that!
I'm running standard ecu with ecutek. Just wonder what's the most likely cause of this error?

Hi Dave,
I'm 80% sure they're HKS Iridium Spark Plugs, as I bought them from JW Racing. Will confirm this tonight when I take one out and look at the tip to see what the mixture is like. Is it really most likely the plugs?
Engine wise, 02 UK WRX but with very modified 2.5L engine so not much original.

i havent heard the best reports about HKS plugs, most seem to use NGKs without issue including myself.
Having said that it may have been an isolated incident. What boost are you running on the 2.5?
