No way to check CEL codes in a newage car?
Hola'!
I've got a newage sti in that has a lit CE light, and I assume it's got to do with the 3" race cat zorst...
But I want to know rather than assume, and went under the dash looking for the usual black connectors...
Ummm...there are the green ones...right...but no black ones?
Ho hum, I assume it'll be a trip to the dealer, and pay the man, or have I just missed something?

As above it would be wise to check what the CEL is
As for the exhaust I thought that the Newage STi had one less cat (the one in the up-pipe) but still retained the other two cats along with the rear oxygen sensor which can trigger the P0420 cat below efficiency CEL.
Do you have someone who can read the CEL codes for you ? I have a SECS monitor which helps and also a local dealer who will hook up the Select Monitor for free at quiet times
Shaun..

Hi Martin
By some strange chance it was Ian at Stan Palmers LOL
I had for a very early Tek2 ECUTEK remap and de-catted the car, The car turned into a random CEL generator despite a Pete Croney Scoobysport CEL fix (remember them)
Ian would always find time to get one of the guys to plug in a select monitor and see what the problem was FOC.
Cheers
