Default Ninja fastflow (sports cat) downpipe and Ninja decat centre - straight on?

As subject

Can I have these two parts fitted to go with my Afterburner Vortex without messing around with the ECU? I am not going to be fitting them myself and as I am aware, my garage didn't do anything to the ECU when the backbox went on.

Yes you can decat your car without a remap (change ecu) and gain some bhp

although the most gains will come with a remap of the ecu

cheers

Cheers Reggie

I know I am not fully decatting but these two additions shall be worthwhile, yes (for performance)?

I appreciate that they need to sell stuff with enticing blurbs but the description for the downpipe is pretty adamant...

"Our exclusive new Ninja Downpipe with 100 Cell Fast Flow Sports Cat, for all models of Classic Subaru Impreza Turbo has quickly become one of our biggest sellers, and for good reason - it easily passes UK MOT yet provides almost all the power of a decat downpipe. This passes UK MOT emissions with just this one sports cat, meaning you can run with this downpipe, a de-cat centre section and any of our rear silencers and still pass MOT / roadside emisssions!
Flow rate is only very slightly lower than that of a de-cat downpipe, due to the high flow design of the sports cat.
Manufactured in 304 stainless steel wth open neck design, narrowing to the standard 2.5" at centre section flange.
Maximum power from your Subaru Impreza AND pass MOT emissions!"

Pars, I assume its a classic ? (as the ninja newage D/P isn't out yet...)

As Reggie says, you'll get an increase in power.... If you had the ECU mapped later, you would gain again, as the map can be altered to take advantage of the free-flow effects...

My '98 UK classic ran 280bhp with panel filter, full-decat (which your's won't be far off) and a Power-Engineering remap...

Hi Mark thanks for that

Yah it's an import classic. Late 1995 WRX

I haven't done that much to it from a performance perspective. Just the daft noise stuff like the Vortex can and a DV

So the full exhaust after I get the new bits fitted shall be the Ninja sports cat downpipe, the Ninja decat centre and the Afterburner backbox. The decat centre has a silencer in it... I guess this would keep the noise reasonable but still an enhancement on what it is now... ?
