Default remap for uk fuel, is it needed?

Now shell have revamped optimax and brought it up to 102 to 103 ron, does this now mean imports wont need to be remapped?

doesn't affect me in anyway but i'm curious.

if you popped in normal sul like tesco 99 or "normal" optimax adding octane booster should spare the need of a remap would it not? depending maybe however on the cars age?

my beauty looooves tesco compared to shell but may be swapping when the new super duper unleaded is released this month.

considering that the ron value hasn't been confirmed yet, I wouldn't worry.
And no, no cars will require a remap.

Its probably going to be 100 ron, JDM's are set for 102. Wether you remap or not is down to choice and finances but thats same as now cos Optimax plus 2 ron's worth of booster would be the same thing.

cheers
