Welcome to the Snet!
Try:
1
Headlamp washer water pump connected to your screen wash bottle
Wire the pump to your rear windscreen wash/wipe switch on the stalk.
Lead washer tubing to the intercooler
fit one-way valve into this tube
Fit a Hozlok atomising gardern spray nazzle (from a garden center (£4) into the tube end
Mount the nozzle ifrmly to a length of welding wire or an alloy (bendable) bracket so you can adjust the direction of the water mist/spray to the hot end of the intercooler.
Action:
Turn switch on the rear wipe 'on' when you want water effect!
Note:
1 minute of continuous use will use about 1 litre of water
Do not put washer adative in the tank as you will have a mighty mountain of bubbles on the intercooler!
This will work as this is exactly what I have done on my hill climb Impreza.
Total cost will be about £10
Take a lazy morning to do
Be very effective.
good luck,
Graham
