Default GRINDING

when warm and on idle i have got a grinding or scarpeing noise coming from the fuel tank area,the car is 93 wrx wagon.In itself the car runs fine with no faults at present but want to know if anyone has had this problem and what it could be?

fuel pump picked something up/fuel pump on the way out?

another expense then,dont you just love scoobys! knew i should of spent more money on a good one.

nah mate its part of the fun lol, how did it cost you mate (without being nosey) i got mine that cheap it would be insulting to some people

hi spank its almost certainly your fuel pump mine gave up the ghost and i only had my car 2 months. get yourself a walbro 255 pump they only cost £100 and are good for 400bhp

the car was £2500 so far ive put a cat back system on it and a panel filter but now this niose from fuel tank area is another worry!!!

ive heard alot about the walbro pumps,are they easy to fit?

sounds alright for the price any car of that age might have the occasional problem or two my my94wrx is the most reliable car i have ever touch wood

it goes like stink im very impressed with it and im expecting to have a few problems due to its age but there domt seem that many people on here with older wrx scoobs to talk to.

my door is always open for a shoulder to cry on lol but seriously i think people are going for newer unmessed with examples which is understandable but i still like my early classsic.

cheers bud shame we cant get a thread running for just classics then we can all moan about our problems if i had the cash id ave a classic STI but having a kid and a MRS does not permit it

they are now around 70quid... if you think that is alot.. then i think you should get a non scooby...
