Advice needed on a WRX or STI Purchase
Hi All,
I am looking to purchase either a WRX or STI imprezza but have a few questions. Budget is around the 6K mark and I was just wondering what I should look out for when inspecting a potential car.
I've heard that on imported STI's the internals are slightly weaker than UK ones and I was wondering if this was true. Ideally I would like it to be between a R and V plate but is this being hopeful for my budget?
Also, apart from the seats and a bit of extra power, what other advantages does the STI have over the WRX? Am I right in thinking a WRX is 240BHP standard and an imported STI is 280? What would the power be on a UK sti?
Any help would be appreciated so that I don't get shafted!
Thanks

www.sidc.co.uk has an faq on all the classic shaped imprezas.
As far as i know the internals on the STI are a lot better than the UK (which didn't get the STI until the bugeye) cos after all the STI is the flagship model for the impreza.
