P0031 error code - JDM STi7 (Yes tried search)
Hi all,
I have a decatted JDM Sti7 with approx 60kms. It was decatted with a scoobysport system about 4 years ago. The check engine light came on today and when I ran the delta dash got a:
P0031 H02S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
Is this a big deal, can it damage anything, do I need to change this 02 sensor ASAP ?
Oh, will any 2002 02 sensor work or does it have to be a JDM STi7 sensor ?
Cheers,
Ray

Thanks for the post Andy
Difference is for me so far the car has not missed a beat, no sluggishness nothing......I have only thrown the P0031 code so far though and the others through other codes.
Maybe my catless zorst through the code ? (I have had it on for years though with no problems so seems weird it would go now ??)
Thoughts ?
Cheers,
Ray

I have the diagnostics detail for this, I can scan and pdf it for email if you want, basically either the front sensor or some interconnect is telling the ecu the heater cct is short cct, there is a signal wire back to the ecu. If its a true fault then it needs sorting as it means your closed loop fueling will be fubar.
Sometimes you get a P0037 code with this but not always.
need an email address, email me as per profile or pm me if you want.
cheers
