.....i bought an aftermarket one designed for an impreza '95, hwever when i took the old one off i snapped a few of the lugs that hold it on.

now the new one doesnt sit in there properly, any ideas how to fix it? or do i need to go and buy a chrome surround now too!!

 

If the new aftermarket gaiter is the leather type, fit the gaiter over the original rubber gaiter this will support the gaiter correctly and you will find there is no need for a surround.

 

hi mate thanx a lot. my only prob is that the original one wont stay in place either as the small plastic lugs that hold it undernerath have snapped!
