Default Sump bolts on a Forester

My dad has a Subaru Forester, the previous owner had a new sump fitted and now the joint is leaking oil slightly.
I've tightened up all the bolts but there are two at the back of the sump which are impossible to get at due to the front subframe being in the way...

any handy tips or is do I have to drop the front subframe to get at them???

Thanks
