today i done a ecu diagnostics and a reset and every thing went ok but when connecting the plugs i noticed a orange plug. do any 1 now whats that for my car is a sti v3 type r. ps the reason i did the reset was fual change i changed from optamax 2 esso 97 because i have 2 travel to far 4 optamax car is a import 1997 on a p reg.

Orange plug is mostlikely the select port plug.. ie. to plug in the monitor to get the error codes out and reset the ecu rather than doing it the way with the plugs you did.
You should really be using 97+booster or get it remapped..

I will answer it.
You are best off having a remap by far and on your car it will probably need a mappable ECU such as Apexi etc.
More power, better running, probably better fuel economy, a lot safer, no need for octane booster etc.
Jolly green monster (down south somewhere i think) is one of the people you should consider for this work, not to mention Pavlo (paul at Zen performance) in the midlands and Andy F in scotland.
