Speed Freaks

Just wondering what the real world requirements are for Scoobs going quickly.
I found in standard 97 classic form 208bhp - 140mph was achievable 'as it said on the tin'
Preliminary mods pushed 240bhp and 150mph works for me.
I've read that some not too highly modified cars are capable hitting 160mph, then there are the 400 - 450bhp nutters - what do they max out at and finally any idea what did Andy F's 200mph run need ?
I'm talking genuine speed from revs rather than optimistic speedos.
Not sure if speed is related to square or cube of power but not interested in maths at this point just actual results.
