First of all a big hand to Merv, Chris and David Power for hosting us and having a lovely lady supply us with huge amounts of Bacon Rolls.
Anyway, without further adieu, here are the results - not a bad day, except for Tarty Tango slipping Merv a few sov to get that extra ten bhp.
Special mentions
Trout - Highest Torque of the Day
Cem - Highest Power (although he cheated by having a Skyline)
Tango - Highest Power in a Scoob
Nigel Bowles - Maddest Tuner
Trout (again) - Most Bacon Rolls
Moe - Most Likely to Try for More Advance.....
....sorry, I promised you the results

Thanks to all that had a part in today! Power Engineering (who I forgot to pay - I'll call on Monday with CC details!) and David for organising it all!!
I had a great time , but it will probably be my last meet in this car!!
The figures on there are different to my print out!!
I have 354bhp & 298 lbs/ft on my print out! Either way, a damn powerful car!!
Thanks again
Andy

Thanks David and Truda for organising it, I had a brilliant afternoon, it was good to see you both again.
I was really pleased with my bhp reading but a little disappointed with the torque as I got 30 more on a run I had last month. Ho hum!
Andy - Nice one! Are you sure you want to sell it?!
Thanks again, I look forward to the next one!

Tarty,
we had two sets of figures for your car - the penultimate run had more power and I thought you would want that one.
I should have had another run with more advance and the car was running so cleanly - oh well, next time
Good to see everyone today - thanks for being a great bunch of contestants.
Hope you liked the prizes - Scooooby - Scooby-Doo - hahahahhaha!

Great
Shame I was driving a sport engine.....................
Interesting for me to see the comparison to Well Lane. There I hit a brick wall at 6100 revs and thought it was the injectors - after changing them I seem to have hit a brick wall again - this time at 5900
My Scoobysport downpipe has been ordered!
Me thinks I'll be taking another trip to PE soon!

Trout,
Thanks mate for a fantastic day, even if I had to get up at 5:30 am. And couldn't get my blackthorn goggles on last night....
Thanks to everyone else involved in getting the day organised I was disappointed with my 239 BHP, but when Mervyn said "this car is running like a bag of ****" I could have kissed him (only joking) So I'm not mad after all, and someone believes me. Mervyn said he can fix it too. I'm so chuffed!!!!!!! Will be going up there next week, for a tune.
I have my evidence to take to the dealers, just to make the sweat.
Andy Tang, fair play to you, a UK car with 356 BHP hello!!!!
Steve Done, thanks for taking the time to chat to me and make me feel better about my bag of ****.
Dave (Big bear) thanks for the air flow controller, as soon as I can get a wiring diagram that will be fitted. Can anyone help ?
Chins, you'll get another scooby
Bob Illes, you crazy bar steward
All in all, a brilliant day, and nice chatting to fellow scooby anoraks.
Cheers Phill C
PS does anyone think that if I get a fat bloke for my back seat, I will get an increase of 60 BHP ?

Thanks for a really well organised day. I was really pleased with my figure, especially as it's the last outing for my car before it goes next Saturday
Still, if anyone's going to Bedford I'm planning to take my TypeR along if it's arrived by then so it's not all bad - and one day I intend to be fully back in Scoobyland
Just a comment though (and don't take this negative, it's just for interest). The R/R was classed to show cars with different mod levels, that meant a P1 could run against a standard UK so thaht if the final results were BHP based (at least for the lower classes) then the P1 was much more likely to win. How about re-working the results so that there's a third figure showing percentage increase? That way if we post our mods folks out there could get an idea of what mod could gain what improvements?
An example:
My car: UK MY98 standard 208BHP, gave 253BHP an increase of 45BHP over standard. This equals 21% power increase.
Just might be interesting, that's all.
But again, Trout - thanks for organising this. I'm sure it was a nightmare but really hope it was all worth it in the end. Simon_Prickett and I really enjoyed ourselves and it was good to put faces to cars / names!

Nigel,
Thought that was a good idea too!!!
What about the idea of fitting Bob Illes Outback 3.0 H6 with twin turbos was better. Wouldn't that combination be so nice ?
Maybe someone will do this in an Impreza ?
Cheers Phill C

Laurence,
if we have separate classes for UK v Jap that makes me a WINNER - great idea.
It was originally intended to do this - although for Stage III and IV it is irrelevant as today proved.
I would be happy to split UK and Import for Stage I and II.
We could also do the cost per BHP calculation for improvements - again this was intended which is why there were reference cars - but there again some people did not want there mods/cost of mods posted publically.
All in all intended to be a fun day out - which is was for me - and I will be organising another - but only if I win next time!
So, look out for
There is NO Excuse - The Return!

I don't mind posting my mods, I would have thought the cost of the lower level mods are well known. I'd like to understand the costs of some really fast cars I looked over today. Might have some plans
MY 00
ITG £50
Scoobysport Downpipe and Backback (standard mid section) bought second hand £175 Fitting £50 ?
SUL 73.9 pence per litre.
Cheers Phill C
PS Forgot to say the petrol is costing me pots of money at the moment

Cheers Trout, fantastic day mate Drop me a line when you are back from your break........
I still think the 305bhp my car spiked to should be recorded
Then again, I am happy with 275, not bad at all for a near standard WRX!
Great day, nice to meet fellow scoobynetters and put some faces to names.....
No, where is my unichip....... TIMBO!!
Cheers

Thanks for organising such a fantastic day !!!
I had no idea that my car would produce such high figures in claass 1. Its also quite amazing that the BHP figures were higher than many of the stage 2 cars too !!!
We had to be off to an early start to travel down from 'up north' (or so the midlands isn't exactly up north) but we had a great time.
The stop of at the local mcdonalds was quite interesting...several of the MCDees blokes checking out the car....they were even more surprised when a skyline and another 8 scoobys pulled in about 5 mins later LOL
We'll be back for part 2.
regards
Ian

Good day out
POC - You will have to wait my friend. Anyway what's so standard about a Magnex downpipe and a BPM exhaust?
And there were plenty of bacon rolls this time
Well done Trout for arranging the day and Chins for sorting out the running order.

Hi All,
Great day out - given me plenty of ideas - only came down to watch so really chuffed I got to run.
Trout - any chance of updating the results page as you've got me down as stage 1 & My96 wagon is completely standard - so dead chuffed with 238bhp.
Cheers,
Chris
PS
I'll big back for the next one & maybe with a car that will be a bit more competitive
