where is the plug for diagnostic machine?

Default where is the plug for diagnostic machine?

as title says, my m8 has just bought a machine 4 reading the diags. on various cars, we dont know where the plug is in scooby to plug it into though, any1 know?

From MY01 onwards (newage) the OBD II port is under the steering wheel

I'm almost certain the pre newage cars have no OBD port and rely on joining two connectors under the steering wheel and counting the flashes on the CEL ......

OBD port is only present on 99 onwards cars (or maybe late 98's when the dash was revised).

Only MY01 are OBD compliant AFAIK.

Nothing....on a Subaru.
The only thing that will plug into an MY94 is the Subaru Dealer Select Monitor.

But you can get the diag fault codes out without a reader tool, if that's all your after.
