Default my hunt for a bigger burble and a few newbie questions please? :)

ive just bought a 100% standard MY97 scooby UK car, and there is a bit of a burble. my hunt is for a much bigger burble.

im on a bit of a budget until after christmas so heres what i was hoping to do before then.

decat (stock exhaust at the moment) and an induction kit. will this increase the burble?

any other ideas for budget mods that will improve it even further?

i want to spend less than £300 on her before xmas, then after xmas do the handling/brakes

also are the standard shocks red in colour? i have a few prodrive bits fitted to the car from factory, and i wonder if the shocks were some of them aswell as the leather, gearknob and speedline alloys

Buy a used 3" full exhaust system. Induction kit will make whooshing noises, backbox is the main influence on burble/exhaust noise.

Full decat with TSL Firestorm will certainly release the burble. I had this set up on my UK97 and must admit it was way too loud for me and only lasted around a few months on the car.

Constantly set the neighbours car alarm off which was never good........

best for the 'burble' IMO is a scoobysport back box and decat centre.

best value exhaust is the 3" system from revolution
£300 delivered , and it's a full system,from down-pipe back,so you get rid of the centre cat.
