Default advice needed on modifying an STi8 UK

thinking of selling the classic and going for a 2003 sti8 uk

need to know best way of starting to mod it for PERFORMANCE.

thinking headers,decat,md321 or md195,fmic,induction kit.

how many cats do they have ? is there 2 in the down-pipe(s) and 1 in the centre section.

looking for 400 ish BHP, would the transmission hold this, clutch, box etc etc

i'd stick with bob rawle for the ecutek,so i don't want an aftermarket ecu

any help/advice appreciated

daz

ps,dont need to know about suspension, brakes, knocklinks etc,
question is about performance,FOR NOW

Think you have the right idea there fella, most ur gonna get from the standard intercooler setup is 360 ish, clutch is good and should be ok with 400bhp, gear box is good for 500 bhp, standard air box is good for 400 bhp, a good organic clutch would be a good idea though, as for mods, hard hose kit, fmic, light pullies and aux, equal length headers, good zorst, uprated fuel pump (prodrive) would also go with uprated or modded oil pump, there are 2 cats one at the down pipe one in the centre, ecutec remap helps gel things together...

forgot to add fuel pump, would get walboro....
organic clutch would be exedy from APi
i'd prefer unequal headers even though i'd get more torque from equal, prefer the sound i'd go to revolution for my exhaust needs from headers to tail-pipe
got a RCM oil pump here in my 'office' to fit a classic, will it fit 03 sti ?

i'd need an I.K with the fmic so that would be 57i or 1 of RCMs modded 57i's
