Default ic spray

hello folks.

i have a problem where that i am going thru lots of water in my IC Spray.
it doesnt have an automatic setting , it only operates when i push the button.
however i notice that when i park on a hill, nose down i get a trickle of water
and by morning time the tank is empty , well almost.

i had a look under the car and due to a black plastic tray i am unable to see where its leaking from.
it just drips from a hole in teh bottom of teh tray on the drivers side.
are there any knowen joins in the ic spray pipe down the bottom end.

i thionk im going to have the car put on ramps and get that tray off.

any one else had any problems like this ?

Thanks in advance.

Chris.

It was seen in quite a few cars of that age. Seems like the UK STis were missing a flap valve or had faulty ones to stop water dribbling out on down slopes or during heavy braking.
The valve should be several inches in the hose before the nozzle, so don't bother taking off the tray. Just get one from Halfords etc, cut the hose and install.

i will check it 2morro , it did seem to be leeking from the bottom however.
but i will take your advice and pop down to halfords tomorrow.
it would be a pain to remove that tray. i'll go for the simple solution first.
i will let you know how i get on.
Chris.
