Default URGENT CRANK QUESTION

i was goin to change the tioming belt today on my 94 wrx and wheni took off the cover i noticed that that srocket on the crankshaft was off centre so took it off and the woodruff key has wore the crakshaft a small bit,, when i put on the new sprocket i could rattle it a little bit with a new woodruff key,, is there any thing i could to to make it solid i was thinking of putting a few small spot welds around it and ideas appreciated

e metal maybe ? weld would heat it up and prob destroy crank seal , which then in turn if woodruff key is welded in place crank seal will not go over it ...
