ive got a 1995 wrx. after i have put my foot down hard there is a whining noice it seems to happen when i really slow down, it gets louder when i start going a little faster and is louder when i turn the steering wheel or go around a corner. has anybody got any suggestions ? i thought maybe a powersteering pump but it makes it when i go in a straight line. or dont they work like that ? its really annoying me. thanks

Low power steering fluid? I had a similar thing when my reservoir was leaking, the fluid gets air in it and makes a noise in the pump.

Ive got the 95 wrx and mine does the same thing.

The whining noise is normally from your partner sitting beside you telling you that your going to fast!
