hi guys just a quick one im in the process of buying a 2.5 block ej25 the seller has listed this as an sti block not a wrx ? ? is there a difference.? its intended to go in my 94 sti.thanxs guys .chris

 

the sti block should have forged pistons i think where as the wrx wont,and proberly a different crank, im sure but someone else on here will shed more light.

 

i think the sti is semi-closed block check this out and look at the pictures at the bottom will look like that apart from the pistons

Curious as to what it went for in the end, looked like it would go cheaply.

I think the caranks are the same, and the block looked like a semi closed deck so i think the blocks are the same too.
I'm sure the pistons are the strange ones in the WRX (ie, not forged.)

I was very tempted to bid myself as i only want the block and crank.
