Just wondering if anyone can help with a problem i've got with an early bugeye ? Steering is noisey when worked hard,(like its got no oil, but has) and also when help at a certain steering angle sort of 'kicks' on its own, have changed the fluid and fitted a second hand pump still the same, bit gutted guess it must be the rack?

 

have had to change the pipes on some due to sucking in air

 

? Can you give me anymore details, would you not have a leak?

 

check your rack n pinion for any leakage or check the cross joint of the steering column
