hks ssqv dump valve
thinking of changing the dump valve on my 02 sti type uk to a hks ssqv, was wondering if anyone has used one of these preferably on a bug eye shape, or any other model information would be much appreciated

Keep your old one to change it back would be my advice.
They are good - as VTA dump valves go, and many people are happy with theirs, but they wont give you anything other than the noise. You can get replaceable inserts to change the noise as the standard insert (silver I think it is) is a bit high pitched and whistly. Like all VTA dump valves they can give uneven running and fuelling problems in my experience and I'm taking mine off when I get chance (been saying that for weeks !)

I have to agree with the above advice, I ran a VTA for 9 months and have gone back to the OE today, my thoughts on in this thread

The sound is nice, but the driveability of the car will be ruined, you will only notice the difference once you change back to the OE dump valve
