What chip is this?

Got this chip with my 98 UK Turbo 2000. The chap basically gave me all his spares.

It came in a small box with SCOOB and 24P written on it.

The top line of the front and back are the type of chip.If you type in both the numbers into google it comes up with a lot of links but nothing specific for Subaru.

It's a 27PC256 EPROM used for remapping the engine on the pre 97 cars (like a Scoobyecu).

What is more important is what has been programmed into it. Was there any other label at all?
