Default Running a Z4 ecu?

Hey was wondering if anyone can help,

Has anyone put a Z4 on an earlier WRX as a possible upgrade. I put one on my WRX 92 saloon and found although it was smoother, had less power and a rev limit of 6500rpm! Vehicle otherwise runs faultless.

Boost is unaltered due to manual boost controller, I thought all JDM WRX's had a 7500rpm limit.

Whats wrong with this ecu?

How do mean less power(i.e.have you measured the power with an r/r session).
I've fitted 1 to my 93wrx and was dissapointed with the results but didn't get a rev limit problem.

Cheers for the reply,

Haven't put in rollers, but power noticably down, swapped back to original ecu, reset etc and all back to normal.

Am thinking have been sold a duff ecu or its not what it says on the tin!

If it has been swapped any ideas what subaru limits at 6500rpm?

I think if it was a duff ecu it most probably wouldn't work.
Have you got any pictures of the inside of the ecu as i still have mine so could compare it as i've rolling roaded mine with a standard ecu and the z4 (so i know mine is a z4).
