Which ecu to use??????
Hi all!!!
I'm going to be fitting an apexi avcr to run boost at 1.2bar (on my '93 wrx) but am wondering which ecu to use:-
I have a ks rom normal chip in one (jap chip) which is set to run at 1bar
and I have another ecu with a piggy back chip (car station) which is set to run at 1.2 bar (not been mapped on my car)
my thinking is the car station ecu would be a better option fuelling wise as it's already set to 1.2 bar!
what you guys think?
very much doubt I'll be getting it mapped as I'm a tight wad

I wouldn't bother with either.
I have a car station map here and it's one of the worst I've seen. It was fitted on an otherwise standard WRX, the fuelling was hardly touched, the boost targets were way beyond that capable of being read by the map sensor. Infact in 5th the boost was all over the place.
Unless of course you have the Car station ECU that I remapped, as I done it for a mate who then sold the car on......
If the ECU has a single chip solution with a label reading something like IMPECUS2V18 then it's mine. If it's an adaptor board containing several chips it's still the car station.
