My99 uk turbo 2000 80k
Just had a service and mot.

Comming up the m5 today Started to hear a knocking noise from the rear as if the seat belt was hitting the o/s/r door with a loud banging noise.
(no seat belt was inside)


Pulled off m5 and as i was slowing down the car started to shake like the wheels were going to fall off??
With a nasty whining noise.

checked it over but nothing obvious only 1 mile from home so drove it steady through heavy traffic and completely fine!

To worried to take it out again just in case it goes bang.

Any ideas?????

 

Does it happen @ a certain road speed ??
Certain Gear ??
Certain Rpm Engine Load ??

Gearbox, Propshaft, Driveshaft !!!

Check obvious first,
Wheels all tight, Visually inspect drive shafts, Tyres, Gearbox oil level Etc.

With it having an associated whine , it does not sound good,
Diff or Gearbox !!!

Get it checked out .
