Default FITMENT OF PRODRIVE MUDFLAPS/MESH GRILL

I have a MY05 STI and was wondering do you have to drill any holes to fit the Prodrive flaps? I had a MY03 STI and drilling was needed to fit genuine STI flaps (front & rear). Also has anyone botched up fitting the Stainless Steel mesh grill kit? I know you need to drill the bumper but understand you get a template of some sort. Is this idiot proof?

fitted the grille kit myself albeit in black, and yes you have to drill some holes into the bumper. My Scott Lowe item did have a template provided which was pretty good. Make sure you mask off any area you are going to drill, in case the drill slips on start up and scrathes your paintwork. Just take it slowly and you should be ok. Also fitted some mudflaps but these replaced older flaps, so all drill holes etc were already in place.

Good advice regarding masking. Doddle to fit.

If they are genuine ones you dont have to drill the bumper as the holes are already there, you do have to drill a couple of holes elsewhere tho.

If you buy the genuine prodrive mudflaps from your dealer, you will not need to drill anything. I fitted some last year.

you have to drill 1 hole on the rear's to the little lip at the bottom of the inner wing....

The fronts are suplied with 2 self tappers for the inner wing, but i drilled 2 tiny holes on each side for the self tappers

I bought the genuine STI ones for my 02 WRX, and now my 53 STI and fitted them easy
