the situation MY02 wrx i have replaced the clutch today, 3 piece exedy standard clutch, the flywheel was skimmed so level, now when in 4th gear at 1400- 1800 rpm the vibration coming through the tunnel of the car and at the rear end is horendous, it only does it at the said engine speed and gear, any comments

i have done my clutch the same way as i have done all the others i have done on other scoobys, just typical mine goes wrong, never had a problem doing them untill i do my own, the front section of the prop was not marked up, but then again i have never marked the other ones up at the front

well it was fine before i took it off, i will pop it back off and refit again in a different order just to see if it makes a difference, i have had many a gearbox out of many scoobys and never had this problem, my car really p*****s me off, i am totally sick of it, after 2 1/2 years of owning her i am now starting to regret ever getting her, wish i had kept my fiat coupe which was trouble free and a damn site quicker,

found out the cause of the vibration, it appears as of 07/2001 the flywheel was changed to a dual mass type and therefore the pressure plates are different, i was supplied the wrong one, i have had the box back out and refitted the oe clutch and all is fine, now have ordered the correct one, not my mistake but the lad in the scooby spares shop, i wont slag him off he now knows the flywheels are different and will never make the same mistake,
