Post Loose Engine Brace thingy.

Not the best title, but I don't know what the part is actually called.

It's located under the TMIC, so if some could answer a couple of questions please?

1. Should it be loose? Can freely turn the bolts in situ and rattle the brace
thingy from side to side.

2. What is it called?

3. What does it actually do?

4. Can I get a shiny replacement?

Cheers in advance

It is the fore-aft engine/gearbox stabiliser.
It MUST be done up tight as it stops the engine plunging into the rad fans when braking HARD.
Tighten the bolts now.
I think Cusco make a bling one but why do you want one?

Cheers mate.

I'll tighten it up tomorrow when I get busy fitting my front mount.

Just thought a bling one would look nice.

Would it need to be removed to fit a gearbox? Had one ('box) fitted last year, maybe wasn't quite "nipped" up tight enough or do they have a habit of slackening of?
