Default Turbo and Bhp

Hi i have a 94 Type Ra Wrx fitted with a Td-05 turbo unit. I was wondering what turbo would be best to upgrade to and if i would gain any extra Bhp from doing this? I have been recommended the Td05 20g would i need to do any internal engine mods to support this?

My car is fitted with
gems ecu
Fmic
full Decat system
Dump valve
Hks powerflow filter

The engine is the stronger Ra type unmodified internally

thanks in advance

Pretty sure the early cars had closed deck blocks, which respond better to tuning.
Not too sure whether you will need different pistons/conrods though.
Best to phone a tuning company and ask

Fitting an 05-06 20G will lift your power target to 380 + bhp.
Anything you can do to help the engine breathe will improve power. eg ported headers.
You may also consider an 05 18G. Probably the same money and target power would be around 360 bhp.
To support either of these turbos you would require 550cc injectors and best fir a Walbro 341 uprated fuel pump at the same time.
