banjo bolt vf35
i will be changing my turbo from a vf24 to a vf35 but need to know if the banjo bolt from the vf24 will be the correct size as in oil flow, because i dont have the bolt for the vf35, i know the vf24 uses a smaller size to my original td04 due to bearing type, which bolt will be best to use or will neither be the correct size

No it was the TD04 one. I didn't actually fit it myself because it was done while the engine was out for a rebuild anyway. But I bought the turbo myself and it came with no fittings - the standard ones on the car were reused. I think the only issue was one of clearance - one of the pipes fouled slightly on a hard vacuum pipe somewhere, but it was solved.

Do a search on the Forum for the banjo bolt question - has been covered quite a few times. Without looking myself, seem to remember that you have to change the Banjo bolt when going from a VF to a TD series as the construction of bearings are different (ball bearing vs Sleeve/thrust type)

thats what i was thinking as well i know most vf turbos are ball bearing but vf35 isnt i have a vf24 fitted now which has the restricted banjo bolt but didnt want to use that bolt if there wasnt going to be enough oil flow for bearing in the vf35 looks like i will be using my banjo bolt from my td04 then

Well if you're worried about it, couldn't you just remake the pipe how you want it? Get the fittings out of the Goodridge catalogue. I just remade my hydraulic clutch hose in 600-03 stainless steel braided brake/clutch hose, with a 10x1.00 female fitting on one end and a 45 degree banjo on the other. Parts were about £30 and my labour was 10 minutes with a vice, a couple of spanners and some side-cutters to trim the steel braid.
