Default NEW ENGINE?

HOW MUCH IS IT FOR A BRAND NEW ENGINE WRX TURBO 2001 ONWARDS, FITTED AND WORKING RECONDITONED ANYTHING CONSIDERED?

I MEAN FITTED AT LOCAL SUBARU SPECIALIST AND BRAND NEW ANY INFO WOULD BE HELPFUL, HAVE A SHELL WAITING FOR ENGINE JUST NEED ROUGH IDEA IF ITS WORT DOING?

WOULD I BE BETTER PUTTING A 2.5 ENGINE IN?

LOOKING AT 4000 MAXIMUM IS THAT ANYWHERE NEAR ENOUGH FITTED?

WOULD I BE BEST BUYING A SCRAPYARD ENGINE?

ANY ADVICE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED? YOU GUYS SEEM TO KNOW THESE CARS LIKE BACK OF YOUR HAND!

What do you need?

Block,
Heads,
Turbo,
Exhaust,
Intercooler and pipework,
Coolant system,
ancillaries, ECU, wiring loom, etc.

If it is just a shell what about brakes, suspension etc?

ffs £4k for an engine, thats plenty mate!!!

the machanic that built mine builds rally engines for a living, and you could do it for under 3k easy...and thats with forged pistons, rods, uprated bearings ect
