hi iv got a pink sc ecu in my96 import sti wagon,opened this up and all the chips are the same make(jecs)apart from one,which says gc8sti,would this be the original or has it been upgraded,cheers

Sounds like it's been chiped. I think the SC ECU would be mapped onboard rather then the additional chip, as the later STi were done on the line rather then shipped to STi i.e STi 2 Saloon etc..etc...

I havn't seen an SC ECU before so cannot be sure.

The label sounds too simple to be genuine STi as they used a large number on the label of the earlier SB ECU's.
