Default Gushing Water

Im getting a gushing sound of water from the passenger footwell when starting up the car and giving it a few gentle rev's. I remember years ago on my RS2000 i had the same problem and the heater matrix went. filled the footwell with hot water. Could this be the same. And if it is is it going to cost a lot. I just dont want a car full of hot water. Any help will be much appreciated.

Sounds to me like you just need to top the coolant water up!

Are the carpets wet at all? i would of tought you would have a slight leak first before it lets go.

Might just be air in the heater matrix ... has any work been done on it lately or does it over heat or the heater blow cold instead of hot?

I dont think any work has been done..
Although I have only had the car a month. The carpets are dry. Now all the air freshners from the garage have worn off i think i can smell a musty water smell when turning on the heater. The car dosent steam up though which i thought it might if there was water in the car, espacially in this weather. Perhaps i should get it looked at.
Thanks

Does it have air con? and if so does it woosh with this on or off? and does it work? could need regassing and air con can cause a musty smell sometimes.

Just some extra things to think about

Sounds more like a bit of air in the heater matrix then ... top up coolant and bleed the air out, hopefully that will sort it.
