Default Classic TMIC upgrade

Dear All

I have a 97Uk car with hybrid TD04, exhaust, higher fuel pressure and Apexi ECU.

Although the current map is not quite right for the set up I have, I am getting 300bhp and 290ftlb.

I will be getting a remap to suit this 'final' (honest) spec and I expect 320bhp will be attainable, depending on safe boost of course.

With this in mind I think the standard TMIC is now probably my weak link although I have angled it - a mod that supposedly gets more cool air flow through the core. But further to this what are my upgrade options?

I don't want the hastle of fitting a FMIC. Are there better TMIC that are bolt on options ? Sti for example ?

Many thanks

AFAIK the sti TMIC is better than the wrx one, you can also get bigger ones off fleabay. Although someone else will have to comment on which ones off fleaby are any good...

Get Japanese Performance mag this month, its got a cracking article about TMIC Vs FMIC and the FMIC does as expected come out on top but it also shows a cheap fleabay TMIC against a Quality TMIC.
