Knock sensor?? if your facing the car its on the right hand side underneath the intercooler! there may be a pipe in the way, think its the idle control valve pipe!?, remove it to give better access! Its at the edge of the block just before the box! you may have to run a m8 tap down to clear it out!

Are you looking for an oil gallery pickup point?
Facing the car from the front, turbo side, ontop of back cylinder there is a allen key plug in the block.

More info would be useful in yuor question.

hope this helps

You can see it without removing the intercooler, but it gives you more room when fitting the the pickup sensor, unless you are a Gynaecologist.

Still cant find this bung, either im blind or have the only scooby without it.I have absloutely nothing that even resembles it, the only thing i can find is below the mech for the accelerator, it has a black fitting, with a nut on top, with a wire coming from it, tried tracing it but it goes of into the depths. So unless the previous Jap owner has fitted something here in the past i'm completely buggered. Anyone in Barnsley who knows where it is and dosent mind me calling round?

The black thing you refer to in your pic is the knock sensor. the pic that shows the bung is i believe a version 3 engine which is 98 onwards if im not mistaken

Yes, but the consensus of opinion on here appears to recommend above cylinder 3, and i've bought all the fittings now.

To the left? or to the front of the car? Can see something that looks like it towards the front of the car but will need to remove more than the intercooler to get at it.

Just about fed up now been at it most of the day, thought it would be a steady of couple of hours

Default Eureka i've found it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got to get it out now

Thanks to everyone who's replied to this thred, it's much appreciated. One thing i had to cut the hose from the intercooler to the turbo to get intercooler out (tried hairdryer, boiling water) is it the Samco Turbo hose kit i need (2 pieces) about £40 from scoobyclinic.

Stand by for more questions when i cant get the bung out

You need the turbo hose kit, yes. Mine's 3 piece on a MY98, because you have a dump valve pipe as well.

Got all the Defi's plumbed in (oil temp/pressure and boost) all wiring through the bulkhead, just need to connect the controller. Fitted my new centre console, fitting the gauges where the centre vents were. Its not difficult to do,providing you take your time it's quite satissfying.Link below is a great help for the pressure gauge,if you are taking it from behind the alternator, once you get intercooler off even the temp is a doddle!!
