Default Fuel regulator?

Can anyone help me out?

I was wondering what the standard fuel regulator is like on a 93 import type RA.

Is it worth upgrading to a FSE or SX or are they much the same as a standard one.
Thanks.

If the car is stock there would be no need to change the regulator.

However if you are looking to modify it, it would be advised. I would opt for the SX as the FSE is said to have "failed" a few times.

The car is lightly modded at the moment with:
ESL chip (1.2 bar boost)
3" turbo back decat system
HKS induction kit

Running ok at the moment but was going to upgrade fuel pump to walbro then (if needed) maybe a fuel regulator etc...

On a 93 car its probably a good idear to replace the FPR if you are replacing the pump.

I am thinking of replacing the fuel pump although I have'nt had to many problems with the original one, but I guess I am looking for more power so it might be a good idea.

Would the injectors need upgrading to benifit from this?

How far do you want to mod it?
As standard you have 380cc's which will probably be maxing out at about 300ish bhp. 440cc's would be good enough for around 340ish and 550cc's for anything upto 450bhp. All depends on what you want from the car.

Beware of the "modding bug" once you have caught it there's no coming back....

I have the exact same set up. Have you had it on a rolling road? I was wondering wheather to fit a Walbro or FSE too. Have you decided what to do, what benefit will these items bring?
