Default wrx sti spec info

Hi folks,

Just bought a 95 JDM Wrx Sti last week but am finding it difficult to find info on the different models. I.E is it forged pistions? top speed, 0-60 and so on. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Cheers,
Paul.

Hi mate and welcome to the site.

The 95 STI had forged pistons and stornger rods compared to the WRX. It has a TD05 turbo and a closed deck.
As standard the power was quoted to be 270bhp.
0-60 is around low 5 seconds and 1/4 mile in the high 13 second region.

Top speed is around 145 mph....

Thanks for the info. The car has been remapped to 16 psi with a vortex exhaust and Walbro fuel pump. I was also told the solenoids were improved (dont know much about this area).

What's the max psi (or bar) that the stock turbo can take (of course, subject to being mapped for appropriate fuel/air)

Cheers,
Paul.

Im not too sure what the seller meant by the "solenoids" being improved. Your model has a 3-port boost solenoid as standard. The 3-port boost solenoid allows more accuracy when mapping and, Subaru stopped putting them on the impreza's after 1996, so normally people would upgrade to a 3-port boost solenoid, but yours has it standard anyway.

The standard TD05 is good enough for up to about 340ish bhp so should be good enough for about 20 Psi, Beyond that your better off upgrading to a TD05 18/20G.
