Default MAF looks different - Pic

Hello,

When we swapped MAF's at the weekend mine looked different to my Bro's. Mine has a metal insert which looks like its there to swirl the air around as it enters the intake:

My brothers is just an opening, with no insert, does anyone know why mine has it and any more info on it?

Cheers

Dave

Dont worry i'm sure its just an add on that was done in Japan, it would fit with the previous owner as the car also has a "mag tune" device on the fuel feed, another crazy add on i've seen on the net in the past.

Is deffo an add-on. You can find them on the net, claim amazing hikes in power by swirling the intake air. Don't believe a word of it!!!
