Question Best Ecutek mapper in the Herts/Beds/Bucks area

Hi just a quick poll to decide who you use on my Impreza Turbo MY00 with full decat. They dont need to be in the Herts/Beds/Bucks area but not to far to travel.
Cheers

I did consider Bob but i'd prefer not to travel to far, the three in the poll are all resonable for me to get to.

From the 3 you have listed there is NO!! competition Paul @ Zen, but Bob R and Andy F are well worth considering.

You sure ? I thought they worked independently

techno_brat,

You will find most opinion given here is based on someones limited experience of only one mapper, and they aren't in a position to comment on who is best, only that they were happy with the work on their own car.

They will have NO IDEA if one of the other mappers would have in fact got a better result !

Of the people mentioned (Andy, Bob, Mocom, Pat, Zen), they are all experienced mappers, and will do a good job for you.

Have a chat with the ones who can either come to you, or who are close enough for you to travel to them. Then chose the one you feel suits you best.

Mark.

Cheers guys you’ve been helpful, seeing that Zen Performance is only an hour away I’ll probably use them. They seem to have many happy customers on here.

Full map from scratch is in the region of £550+vat on it's own. As part of a larger scope of work this price may vary.

I don't think Mocom can do MY99/00 or earlier.
Only MY01> using ECUFlash, AFAIK

Nothing else needs to be said other than our tool suite has no requirement for a licence keeping full custom remap costs to around £400............inclusive of the VAT

You are correct Scott in that we use ECUFlash as an application to writr to the ECU and that it only covers post 2000 ECU's, we do not however use this application for editing maps.
For the earlier cars (92-96) we are currently evaluating the ESL Live Mapping boards with promising results; we have a control 2.0ltr. base to work with that has a number of turbo configurations at it's disposal..................I'm sure this will bring about any limitations should there be any

97-00 cars would require a replacement ECU............at the current time
