Bonnett not opening

Bonnett not opening

When i pull the catch at dash the bonnett does not popup. Handle feels like theres no tension on it.
It takes someone pulling handle and someone pulling up bonnett to get it working.
Any ideas guys?

Sounds like either it needs adjusting or the cable has stretched and could do with replacing

Would try oiling first.

weirdly i had the reverse problem the other week, the cable locked up and i couldn't actually close the bonnet! 3 in 1 and a screwdriver seems to have fixed it but not sure how...

Cheers for suggestions guys.

If it was operating normal and i asked someone to pull lever whilst i look at bonnet catch, would you normally see something moving?
