Cleaning
What can I use and how do I go about cleaning my idle valve as I have been told it needs a clean out.
The reason for this weird question is if I'm in traffic and rev a bit but don't let it come down slowly by playing with the throttle, the car just stalls.
I have a 95 WRX with an Apex'i power fc and greddy profec b boost controller, plus a lightwieght flywheel and uprated clutch. Just so you know everything and can help me best, cheers for ant feedback guys.

Pull it out and spray wd40, wipe it and spray a little more before putting it back. Worked for me. You'll have to start te car and rotate the valve until you reach your desired idling revs.

Cleaning it out with carb cleaner might work. But seeing as it's made of three separate components that affect idle quality and the bit you can get at is only one of these...
Give it a go. But if 'cleaning' it out doesn't work, just get another one from a scrappies. You can't take it apart to get at the water passages or air cut valve underneath, nor can you do anything about the electromagnet or bearing up top.
